What is double knit?

Double knit is a two-layered fabric with a thin layer of wadding in between. This gives it a wonderfully warm yet lightweight feel. It’s soft to the touch and highly durable, helping it retain its shape and comfort in daily wear. Ommellinen’s double knits are knitted in Finland using recycled fibres consisting of 57% recycled polyester and 43% recycled cotton.

Long-lasting and easy to care for

Double knit holds up well with regular use. It stays soft and keeps its shape even after repeated washing. The recommended washing temperature is 40°C and garments should be washed inside out to maintain a neat finish. Tumble drying is not advised to preserve the fabric’s softness.
