Refund policy

Products have a 14-day return policy according to consumer protection law, except for cut-to-measure fabrics - this also applies to pre-cuts and mysterious bags. Products purchased as Christmas gifts can be exchanged or returned until January 7th of the following year. According to consumer protection law, the consumer has the right to cancel an order made through distance selling by notifying us within 14 days of receiving the order. In case of a return, please contact us as soon as possible by email at suvi@ommellinen.fi or by calling 044 239 7469.

The consumer pays the shipping costs for returning the products to us. When returning a product within Finland, use the Posti or Matkahuolto contract number that can be found on the order receipt. A return cost of 6 € will be deducted from the refund amount. When returning products from outside of Finland, the consumer is responsible for paying the shipping costs for the return in the usual manner.

Posti instructions:

Returning with a Helposti code:
Order a return code at posti.fi/palautapaketti by entering the tracking number (starting with JJFI). Return the package to any Posti machine or post office according to the instructions you receive.


Returning without a Helposti code: You can return the package through a post office service point. Write Ommellinen Oy and our return code, which can be found on the order receipt, on the package and take it to the post office.


Matkahuolto instructions:

You can return the package through a Matkahuolto service point. Write Ommellinen Oy and our return code, which can be found on the order receipt, on the package and take it to a Matkahuolto service point.


The product that is returned must be unwashed and unused, and the product tag must still be attached to the garment. We go through and inspect every product that is returned to us. If the product is returned in an unsellable condition (e.g., used, dirty, covered in animal hair), we cannot accept the return. In this case, we have the right to send the product back to the customer or alternatively, refund only a part of the product's value (50%). Every product that we make is valuable, so please treat them accordingly.


Always check the fabric you have ordered before washing and cutting it. If the fabric has been washed or made into a product, it is impossible to determine when any possible defect has occurred, thus the responsibility for the product shifts to the consumer.


If you have ordered products over the free shipping limit (150 € in Finland) and return products so that the total order amount falls below 150 €, a shipping cost of 6 € and a return cost of 6 € will be deducted from the refund amount. If you return an order that has included a promotional (free) item, please also return the promotional item if the conditions for receiving it are no longer met.


Once the order has been returned to Ommellinen and we have verified that the product is defect-free, we will issue a refund to the payment method used by the customer. Include the receipt showing the reason for the return and your signature.


If the consumer finds the ordered product defective, we ask for a prompt contact via suvi@ommellinen.fi.


For exchanges within Finland, you can use the Posti or Matkahuolto contract number free of charge ONE TIME. For exchanges from outside of Finland, the customer pays the return shipping costs, and the shipping of the new exchanged product is free of charge ONE TIME. After this (concerning the possible following exchanges), a payment link for the shipping costs will be sent to the customer. If a replacement product is not available in the online store at that time, the situation will be handled as a customer return.


Please remember that not picking up your order is not the same as cancelling it. If the package is returned to Ommellinen as undelivered, we will process the order as a return and charge a return fee of 10 €. If you still want the product, you will need to place the order again.

Complaint

In accordance with consumer protection legislation, the right to make a complaint applies to defective or faulty products and is not limited to the 14-day right of return.

If you discover a defect in the product, please submit a complaint as soon as possible after the defect has been noticed by contacting us by email at suvi@ommellinen.fi. When submitting a complaint, please include your order number, a description of the defect and, where applicable, photographs of the product.

Complaints are handled on a case-by-case basis in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws. Based on an approved complaint, the product may be repaired, replaced or refunded.


Issues and Disputes

If you discover that the product you have ordered is defective, please submit a complaint and contact us as soon as possible by email at suvi@ommellinen.fi.
If the package is damaged during transport, a complaint must be made immediately to the carrier."

Any disputes arising from the online store or these terms and conditions shall primarily be resolved through negotiations between the customer and the company. If the dispute cannot be resolved by mutual agreement, the consumer may refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi). Consumers also have the right to use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at https://ec.europa.eu/odr. Disputes may also be resolved by a court of competent jurisdiction.

These terms and conditions and any agreements related to the online store shall be governed by the laws of Finland, excluding its conflict of law rules.
